. . . as evidenced by my sudden and prolonged absence over the past few months. I'm so sorry to my flist, life just suddenly leapt out of the shadows and was like "MUAHAHA PWN" and I went down for the count. To make a long story short, in the time that I've been gone, I graduated from high school and have started attending college! That combined with my church activities has left me quite swamped with very little time in between to do much -- though I do my best to keep up on my writing and whatnot. However, now that things are settling down (ish), I feel like I'll have more time to keep up with my LJ again! Which is great news for me because I miss all you lovely people on my flist!

In other news, I'm going to be participating in NaNoWriMo again this year (National Novel Writing Month for those of you who aren't familiar with it) and will probably be a little scarce again in November on this LJ, but you can keep up with me at my writing LJ, doleful_evening. Just add me and I'll be happy to add you back over there! I could use all the support I can get for writing a novel in a month, lol.

Let's see, what else . . . Well, I started watching Flashforward and it looks awesome so far. I wish LOST would come back sooner than February. I miss Daniel and Charlotte, but Joseph Fiennes may be able to appease me until then. Gosh, I've gone through so many fandoms in these past couple of months, it's kind of ridiculous. LOL. So You Think You Can Dance is also one of my new favourite shows since the summer, as is Leverage. Aaaaand, I kind of miss writing fanfiction so you might be getting some fanfic or icons within the next month or so if I can get my behind in gear (as opposed to it being whipped by the educational system).

So yes, I do want to catch up with y'all so drop me a comment and we can chat! I want to know how you all have been doing! ^^

PUHLEASE. She didn't even end up watching it with us!

Okay, so, that's all I can recall off of the top of my head right now, but I'm sure there's more. lolol. I'm gonna go back through my flist and find all the LOST-related posts and comment on them now (I was avoiding spoilers before xD).

Oh, and let me say, there will be fanfiction. Charladay fanfiction. A LOT of it to come, most likely. XD *bounces*

I hate myself, I really do. *sigh* Made myself a new layout of Tuvia (Daniel Craig) and Lilka (Alexa Davalos) from Defiance. I blame Daniel Craig and his in-movie Polish accent, argh! Like I needed a new obsession . . .

So, it takes a really good movie to entice me into seeing it at the theatre (especially in our economically troubled time) and I must say, Defiance was well worth the $9.75 I spent to go see it. The entire movie was SO well done, from the plot to the acting and everything in between; it really had everything--action, drama, romance, humour in a culminating 2 hours and 17 minutes of amazingness. I was thoroughly impressed by Daniel Craig's acting and must apologize for knocking him earlier. I stand by the fact that I don't like him as Bond, but he's truly a wonderful actor and he freaking rocked in Defiance. Not gonna lie, he was hot. XD

So yes, I could fangirl about it some more, but I think I'll just say "GO SEE IT" and leave it at that. ;)

So I was browsing the interwebz as is usually my wont and I came across the Resident Evil wikipedia page. While perusing, I came across this interesting bit of trivia: Apparently, one of the RE games earned the Guiness Book of World Records award for . . .

Worst Game Dialogue Ever for the line "Here's a lockpick. It might be handy if you, the master of unlocking, take it with you".

I don't know about you, but I found this hilarious. So, naturally, I started playing around with it and came up with all sorts of alterations to it.

Such as:
"Here's a sandwhich. It might be handy if you, the master of peanut butter and jelly, get hungry."

And then some other ones which are not so PG, haha.

I find it fun and hilarious, so this is me trying to get the ball rolling with inventing variations of this painful line. LOL.

I've always wanted to make a Star Wars music video and upon hearing this song I immediately knew that I just had to make a vid for it as it was so perfect! It's basically about how Anakin ended up sacrificing everything all for power ("just to get high"). I think it's pretty self-explanatory, so sit back, watch, and enjoy!
