So for the past month or so, I've been participating in an Eternal Sonata web community called Endless Nocturne and earning Notes (which is sort of the equivalent to cash on there) in hopes of being able to purchase the PS3 version of Eternal Sonata. It was 40,000 notes and I was around 10K short . . . and it was looking as though I wasn't going to make it in time before the site was closed on December 10th, yet I continued to hold out anyway.

Today, my patience paid off and my dream was realized! The owner of this community suddenly had a sale on the shop there, dropping all the prices drastically . . . and I suddenly found myself with more than enough Notes to purchase my game! So now I will soon be the proud owner of the PS3 version of Eternal Sonata (which has more scenes, two more playable characters, and extra costumes and such)! In shortest terms, it means MORE FREDERIC! *squees*

The only problem is I don't have a PS3 with which to play the game on but ah well. LOL. I'll either a)get one eventually or b)find a friend who will let me play on theirs. It doesn't matter, my fangirlness knows no bounds! At least once I get access to a PS3, I will already have the game. ^_^ If this doesn't convey how much I utterly love Eternal Sonata (enough to get it for two different systems), then I don't know what will.

Anyway, just wanted to share that with y'all since I'm super excited about it. *beams*

And since I'm on the subject of Endless Nocturne, I might as well shamelessly promote a piece of art that I created for one of the Opuses.

It's here at my DevArt: http://ladyboromir.deviantart.com/art/Private-Practice-104874864

So I finally get around to doing an update and there's a hiatus involved as well. Figures. xD Still, for those of you who have been wondering what I've been up to lately . . .

Cut for some srs business and some not so srs business! )

NaNoWriMo. Oh yes. I'm doing it again. And I am PUMPED for my idea. For those who are doing this as well, please let me know as I'd love to add you as a buddy over on the site, as well as add you as a friend on my Writing LJ, [info]doleful_evening. Which, FYI, that is where I'll be residing for the majority of November. It's friends only (because I'm somewhat paranoid about my writing xD) but please let me know if you'd like to add me, and I'll totally add you back! Support during NaNo is CRUCIAL to success.

*hugs and luffles to my flist!*

Yesterday, October 17th, was the 159th anniversary of the death of the world's greatest composer and pianist, Frederic Chopin. I made this ES!Chopin-centric music vid a little while ago but I feel it's fitting now to post it as a tribute to a man whose music and life continues to serve as an inspiration even today.

Song: Evening Falls
Artist: Enya
Notes: Black and white signifies what he considers a dream, while colour equals what he considers to be reality. Spoilers for ES.

I made another music video for Eternal Sonata! I know, I know...but I just couldn't help myself. I LOVE this game. I even went out and bought it after renting and beating it, haha. Spoilers to the end, just as a warning. Anyway, enjoy!

Song: Torn
Artist: Natalie Imbruglia
Description: This video is centered around Polka and her feelings about everything that has happened, with a strong emphasis on her friendships with both Frederic and Allegretto. Not suppose to be seen as shippy, but interpret as you like.

P.S. I'd really appreciate it if you left a comment/rating over at youtube! At the end of the vid, it offers the URL to it...so yes, thanks in advance!

Title: Just a Dream (Chapter 2)
Fandom: Eternal Sonata
Characters/Pairing: Frederic, Polka, Allegretto, Beat, Waltz, Fugue, March, Staccato(OC), Stretto(OC), Alto(OC), and Rubato(OC)
Rating: PG
Warnings: Spoilers through the first visit to Agogo Forest.
Summary: The forest holds many dangers, and surprises, too. Meanwhile, the band, the Deceptive Cadence, play for their livelihood at Forte Castle.
A/N: Staccato, Stretto, Alto, and Rubato are original characters created by me. They'll feature more prominently as the story goes on. Comments are love! Flames are not.

No, this one was the foreign world, the one that existed only in a dying man's dreams. )

Title: Just a Dream (Chapter 1)
Fandom: Eternal Sonata
Characters/Pairing: Frederic, Polka, Allegretto, Beat, Waltz, Legato
Rating: PG
Warnings: Spoilers for the very beginning of the game.
Summary: Every story has a beginning, every dream a purpose.
A/N: This is the first chapter of what will basically be a fanfic that tells the entire Eternal Sonata game, only with my own added twist to it. There will be OCs along with all the canon characters. Some of the dialogue and events will be taken directly from the game, but there will be a lot of scenes and dialogue that I make up myself as well. Don't be surprised if it goes in an entirely different direction than the game does at times! As an added note, I've written this in a way that even people who haven't played the game should be able to understand it.

Polka was not afraid of dying—everyone died eventually. )

Howdy everyone! I have finally gotten around to updating my LJ at long last. Sorry it's been so long, I've just been really busy (mostly in a good way, too!). So don't feel like I'm ignoring you or anything, I just haven't had much leisure time to spend on LJ since school started. But now that I'm getting into the swings of things, I should be on more often. :)

So, first things first, I got a new layout! This one is dedicated to Mr. Frederic Chopin, the main character of the video game, Eternal Sonata, and based off of the real-life composer.

Of school, writing, and video games... )

And I believe that wraps it up...So, how is everyone else out there doing? :)

So I finally managed to get my hands on Eternal Sonata and...big surprise...LOVED IT! I mean, I'm absolutely smitten with this game (and all its characters, especially Chopin <3) and highly recommend it to all! Since I recently finished it, I decided to make a music video for it, focused mainly on Chopin though other characters make an appearance as well. :)

Hope you enjoy! And please rate and leave a comment on youtube if you have the time, it'd be much appreciated!
